As part of our 2-week honeymoon, we would like to spend some time at either the Sarojin or Aleenta Phang Nga but are having a hard time deciding between them. We%26#39;re looking for a beautiful room (are looking at the pool residences / suites in each) at a spectacular property with great beach and service. We don%26#39;t want to be among crowds, so access to nightlife isn%26#39;t important to us. However, we would like to have the option of embarking on a few activities or venturing outside the resort if we decide to... We were set on the Sarojin, but after reading a few recent reviews, we%26#39;re having second thoughts and therefore have reconsidered Aleenta, which looks fabulous. Any thoughts would be tremendously appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Aleenta or Sarojin -- please help!
We are going to the Sarojin 15th December for 11 nights.
Is there anything in particular you would like us to look at or just advise you in general?
We have travelled extensively stopping at some wonderful hotel The Datai in Lankawai, a large selction of the One and Only Hotel Group.
We expect really high standards and have been highly recommended to the Sarojin. There is a lady who has been on line who is going out to get married in December so it may well be worth you speaking with her.
We aim to have a really chilled time in luxury and put somthing back into the local community.
Aleenta or Sarojin -- please help!
I can%26#39;t comment specifically about the Sarojin, having only had a self-guided tour around its grounds and facilities when had one of our beach strolls from the Le Meridien just up the beach from it. I%26#39;m sure Destressing will have a wonderful time as it certainly is a very relaxing and intimate resort. The rooms are fabulous but none have direct or clear sea views. The beach is lovely and there are two or three very good beach restaurants nearby. Khao Lak Town is a 20 minute taxi or shuttle ride away for local bars and restaurants and a few shops. Plenty of tours to be booked from there.
We visited the area in which the Aleenta is situated and it is far more remote. The nearest local towns are not touristy at all, but not particularly attractive in my recollecion - just typical local towns.
Thank you both for your replies... I think we are leaning towards the Sarojin. I really appreciate your responses. Have a wonderful trip, and I look forward to hearing about it.

I don%26#39;t think you will be disappointed - in the Sarojin, that is!! :))
