Hi ya again from chris....Just looking again as we will be back in Bangkok on the 17th to pick a car up from the airport to travil down to Koh Chang....I see from the internet that a new airport was open on the 26th of September....Am i right in saying or not...It is 25 k out side of bangkok..As from the google earth globe the airport is in bankok...Can you put my mind as rest....as to were it is...I need to get my bearings right as to maps and the route i will take on driveing out from the airport.....Chris

Yes, new airport is 25K it is locate at Bangna-Trade road KM15

and from Airport you can drive to Khochang about 3.5-5 hours depends how fast , how many stop. Where you will arrive in bangkok? i can tell you the best way to new airport.

As we are comeing from the U/K we will no dowt be landing at the new airport....But would like to know on how to pick the road up that will take us down to Koh chang.....Also will the internal flights be operationg also from the new airport...Chris

The new ariport is right by the new Bangkok - Chonburi Expressway (Hwy 7). The exit from the airport takes you to the highway. Not sure what cities are listed on the exit signs, but you will be heading towards Chonburi, Pattaya, Rayong ...
