5 days in bangkok

We will be going to Bangkok from 28 Dec 06 to 1 Jan 07. We are staying at Arnoma Hotel. We intend to go places like Dreamworld and CTC, and of cos shopping. Anybody has any recommendation as to what we can do in Bangkok and where we can have nice, cheap good dinner?

Celine, you recommended a river cruise dinner. Is that place expensive? Will all taxi drivers know that place?

For a river cruise dinner, the normal rate for foreigner starting from 1200-1600 Baht/person for a normal day. For the new year%26#39;s eve they charge more. The taxi drivers know this place. There are many criuse operators and most of them use piers at River City shopping centre close to Royal Orchid Sheration hotel.

It is considered to be expensive dinner compared to other good dinners in Bangkok. The food is just ok. I think tourists doing this because of the chance to see the nice scenery along the river at night.

For a nice cheap dinner, I think you can find around your hotel area with no problem. You can take a sky train to Siam Paragon or MBK to dine at their food court. Siam Paragon is more expensive thatn MBK one.
