how much time does it take from the airport to marriott resort n spa. we%26#39;re arriving in at 5.30 which means by the time we re done with all airport formalities would be 6.30.... is it easy to get cabs at that hour?are there prepaid cabs or metered ones? how much would it normally take to the hotel?

Think we paid 280 bhat from the airport, plus 50 for the airport surcharge, then another 45 and 25 for the tolls. Can%26#39;t remember how long it took, maybe 45 minutes? It%26#39;s about 40km from the airport and the taxi drivers are maniacs. No seat belt, or rather there was a seat belt but nothing to click it into, and they drive at 130kph and weave in and out of traffic. Be ready to brace yourself!
Taxis are plentiful from the airport, when you get out of the customs area, take the escalator down a floor to the public taxi stand (metered) and ignore all the people asking you if you want a taxi.

Just been quoted 2020thb including tolls for Benz limo transfer to and from Marriott Resort %26amp; Spa by aaclimousine.com. More expensive than taxi, obviously but for 拢28 in the comfort of a Merc and bearing in mind previous poster%26#39;s comments '; the taxi drivers are maniacs.
