Mosquito Nets in Thailand

My partner and I are going to Thailand in January. We will be travelling around a bit, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui etc, and would like to know if it is worth buying a mosquito net. My friend tells me they had problems as they didn%26#39;t have anywhere to attach the ties to. Any advice please...

Mosquito Nets in Thailand

I seriously doubt you will need to bother. I have never needed a mosquito net, even while traveling in some fairly remote areas of the Northeast. Assuming you are staying at hotels, choose hotels with AC and it should not be a problem. Most hotels in the 1000 Baht per night range will have AC. If you are planning to camp, then some protection from mosquitos might be needed.

Mosquito Nets in Thailand

Hi Sandy, We visited the same places that you are heading to in Sept-Oct. I just bought mortein from 7 11 store at each place %26amp; sprayed our room each night before we went out for dinner %26amp; had no problems. Had tropical rid in my handbag which we did use but not all the time. Have a great holiday in Thailand. CJ

Hi Rob,

We%26#39;ve only booked the first 3 nights (in Pattaya), after that we%26#39;ve got a basic idea of where we are heading but we%26#39;re just gonna see what happens!
