Kanchanaburi

Hi guys,

I will be going to Kanchanaburi on 01/01/07. I will reach Bangkok Intel Airport about 09:10am, from there i will be taking a cab to Hualumpong Train Station. Which train should i take from there to Kancha? Please advise. Thank you.:)

As far as I know, the train from Bangkok to Kanchanburi, you have to take a train at Thonburi station. There is 2 trains/day (7.45 am and 1.35 pm)

You can check out the timetable at this web site http://www.railway.co.th/english/index.asp

and choose sounthern line.

Is Thon Buri Station and Hualumpong same place or near by? If i am not wrong the train that is going to Kanchanaburi is train 259. am i right?

Thonburi station and Hua Lum Pong station is a bit far from each other.

Train no. 257 departs 7.45 am.

Train no. 259 departs 1.35 pm.

Thonburi station is not that clost to Hua Lumphong station. It is on the opposite side of the river bank.

I am not so sure with the taxi fare. It is a long way though...may be 300 Baht or up..
