Christmas in Phuket

Me again!

After travelling to Phuket last year in October I am a little unsure of how busy the place will be when we return there this time on Dec 19th for christmas?

has anyone spent christmas in or around patong before?

Will we have to wait ages to get a taxi from the airport into patong or shouldi organise a car to pick us up?

Also, will a lot of the beaches outside of patong (Suring, Rawai, karon etc) be crowded during this period dec 19th-26th?

any info that you have would be most welcome %26amp; pls drop me a line if you%26#39;ll be in the area for Xmas too!

cheers

it was well busy /crowded, i loved it !!--a fantastic atmosphere , every-one having a great time , fireworks,12 -o-clock new years eve , (then the tsunami the next morning, right in the middle of my massage! ) apart from that , it was brilliant
