Air Fare

I am going to Krabi for my honeymoon in Januray and am looking for airfare from Bangkok to Krabi. Thai Air has expensive rates, $200+ per person. Does anyone know if this is the going rate? If not any suggestions on how to get discounted airfare would be very helpful!!!

Airlines in Thailand.

Thai Airways International (THAI)

Bangkok Airways

Thai AirAsia

One-Two-Go Airlines

Nok Air

PB Air

Tiger airways fly into Krabi from Singapore.

Air Fare

thai air is the most expensive but a great experience

I flew air asia bbk to Krabi for 1300 baht one way

air asia Phuket to bbk was 1800 baht.

it is your honeymoon you deserve to splurge a little

don%26#39;t go on a cheap discount airline and possibly ruin a beautiful time. with late flights and bad service

I%26#39;ve flown both Air Asia and Thai Air on this route. On Thai, we upgraded to first class for a few $ more. I prefer to fly Air Asia only now - it%26#39;s such a short trip - just over a hour long - that it doesn%26#39;t justify spending the extra. Air Asia is absolutely fine.

Hi Julieanb,

That does seem expensive, we booked business class with Thai from Bangkok to Krabi for 4000 baht. We booked directly with Thai and are travelling this Xmas.

Just a note on Air Asia...

i flew with them last week down to Krabi, and had a 4 hour delay. All the AA flights on the board at BKK seemed to have big delays or were cancelled.

I then cancelled my return flight and booked with 1-2-go. No probs with them.

After leaving BKK a few days later AA flights were again showing big delays. Be warned.

Delays with airasia on average is nothing like 4 hours...

It%26#39;s true that they are often late. Morning flights tend to be more likely to be on time. 1 Hour delay is pretty common... 4 is not... They do cancel flights at times also but not commonly.

thank you for all your help. I will look into these options. Do you know if it will be cheaper to fly Thai Air if I call their office directly instead of on the web?

Why not try all...

check the price from agents.. and on-line brokers... try their web page.. and give them a call direct....

I%26#39;m not sure how they operate in the USA....... In Australia buying on line often works out the cheapest... This applies for Singapore airlines. but I haven%26#39;t flown with Thai for a couple of years now.

Air Asia are starting a 3rd daily flight from January and it was selling at THB399 plus tax; a much better option than Thai (if price is important)!
