Phuket vs 'Koh Samui'.

I am planning a 6N/7D honeymoon trip to Thailand in February. So the rough itinerary I have drawn up is - 2N at Bangkok and 2N at Pattaya. I want to spend the remaining 2N/3D either at Koh Samui or at Phuket. Which one would you recommend? Any other suggestions on making the trip a memorable one?

Regards

- Abhi.

Phuket vs 'Koh Samui'.

Congrats on your wedding!!! If you choose to go to Phuket, try to stay at the Pacific Club. It is beautiful, clean, priced very well, and the staff is amazing.

Have a wonderful trip!

Phuket vs 'Koh Samui'.

u can go to both of them but u should spend your time in Phuket more than Koh Samui. u can travel in Koh Samui within a day and come back to Phuket that about one hour for speed boat. Phuket is the largtest in Thailand that have many places to sightseeing. Also in night,u can buy ticket for Phuket Fantasea or go to Patong at Bangla that have many pub and restuarant Such as seduction pub(5 stars pub), buy ticget for Simon Cabaret. For in day u can rent a car to go around or hire Tuk Tuk(three wheel small car)to take u around Phuket. On beach have many activities to do such as banana boat or buy tour package that located in Phuket town or Patong Beach that have seakayak,ATV Park and so on

hope this help u

Hi MNOrganizer

Can you please tell me how you can get from Samui to Phuket in 1 hour by speedboat, as I would luv to do that? I thought it was a lot further away, thanks for your info.

Lee

As far as I know that is far from possible. The usual route to get from Phuket to Samui is. Car Phuket to Surantthani 5 hours and a boat Surantthani to Ko Samui 1.5 hours.

You haven%26#39;t got enough time to do Bangkok,Pattaya and Phuket or Samui.

I would do 2 nights Bangkok and the next 4 nights in Samui as February is perfect weather as the wet season has just finished.

Most honeymooners stay at Tongsai Bay or Sala Samui.Look at the reviews in the Samui hotels section.

Thanks Carla %26amp; John for the clarification, I didn%26#39;t want to say the wrong thing in case my research was less than accurate. Now, that you guys have answered I can see the previous poster must have their wires crossed.

Hi Abhi

For the amount of time you have, you really should only do one or the other. Have you thought about Krabi or even a smaller island resort off the Thai mainland? Not sure what%26#39;s close to or easy to get to from Bangkok, but you could look at Koh Lanta, Phi Phi, or Racha close to Phuket or Koh Tao off Samui.

Lee

Hi Lee, Phuket to Koh Samui is 50 minutes flying time.CJ

Hi CJ

Thank you, for your helpfulness, I was trying to understand the previous posters info. I couldn%26#39;t quite understand what they knew about traveling from Phuket to Samui or vice versa to suggest that you could do so in about an hour by speedboat.

We are going to Samui from Phuket in April and I%26#39;d never found that ';info'; during my research or we%26#39;d not be flying over there and staying for a few days.

Cheers

Hi AM India,

We got back last Sat and from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya in a mini bus took 3 hours, we left Bangkok at 3.45 pm, the motor way is under roadworks and the traffic was ridiculous, coming back too was just under 3 hours, we left Pattaya at 6.30 pm. It really eats up your time when you are on a schedule, so I would go Phuket or Koh Samui for a honeymoon, thats only my opinion though. Sue

Sorry for going slightly off topic,

When would everyone say the best time to go to Phuket was?

Getting mixed answers elsewhere.

Cheers
