Kata Beach Resort

Has anyone been at the Kata Beach Resort recently. What details of the building work going on?

Is there two parts to the Hotel? We are taking my brother and new wife on their honeymoon, (first time in Thailand) and want to ensure thebest sea view rooms. We have booked deluxe rooms.

i was in karon beach resort back in august 2006 and there was very little signs of building work there and didn%26#39;t see any in kata beach. as for the sea view its either luck of the draw or ring the hotel directly and specify a sea view.

Not stopped at the hotel but returned from Kata last week.

They are constructing a new building just across the road from the hotel. This is the road that runs perpendicular to the beach. If you had a room this side of the hotel it maybe affected by the noise but very difficult to say.

It was not particularly noisy as the main works going on was pouring the concrete frame.

If your going next April things will have advanced somewhat so you may find most of the remaining work is internal so reducing the likelihood of noise.
