6hrs to spare in Airport at Bangkok

Could anybody give us some tips on what to do on our return journey home to Manchester,We have 6hrs to spare , and would love to be able to go back into Bangkok , as we only get 1 day there on our flight out to Krabi, Would we be able to leave the Airport ? and how far is the City from the Airport.Would we be able to get to the Golden Palace?

6 hours is a bit short with the current check in time required.

Factors are too many to really make suggetions. - airlines - time of day- checked baggage - to name a few and all will have a direct effect on any suggestion made.

If you do go out do not forget you will need 500 baht international departure tax

IMO 6 hours is a little short to leave the airport if you have to check in for your international flight.

As a guide these times may help

Time to get out of airport after domestic arrival 20 - 30 minutes f luggage checked through 30 - 60 minutes if mot

Time to from town 30 - 60 minutes depending on time of day and day of week

Currently time to departure gate 30 - 45 minutes if straight from check in.

Currently requested time to arrive for check in 3 hours.

My opinion for what it is worth 6 hours is too short. Have a nice meal in the airport and maybe a final Thai massage and relax.

Dont spoil a nice holiday by missing your international flight.
