My advice for you is to take a tuk tuk and go to the night bazaar from 8:00PM,have dinner here and then move to Patpong where stalls open untill midnight or even 01:00AM.
Every ride by tuk tuk or by taxi will cost you around 80-100 baht, very cheap.
