Chatuchak market

How does one get to Chatuchak market? Any good eating places around the area?

Chatuchak market

The best way to get there is on the Skytrain, Mo Chit station is only about five minutes walk away from the market. Finding your way from the station is easy - just follow the large crowd of people that will also be heading to/from there (right).

Of course, you may go by Taxi.

A good idea maybe to print the name address of the market - in Thai.

In my travelogue there is a link to Bangkok%26#39;s market sites.

I agree with sky train to Mo Chit (the last stop). There is also a subway stop inside Chatuchak, so whichever is closer to you. A cab from the Silom area will cost 100-150 bhat which might be worth it if you have 3 or 4 people, but the skytrain is VERY EASY (and well-airconditioned!).

Go early in the am before it gets too terribly hot. There are lots of places to eat inside Chatuchak which are delicious and part of the whole experience.

You can%26#39;t miss the markets if you take the skytrain. If you look to the left as the train slows for the Mo Chit stop you%26#39;ll see a HUGE sprawl of market buildings, it%26#39;s then just a matter of taking the appropriate exit and walking back to the markets. I strongly advise you not to go in the hottest part of the day, it%26#39;s murder, go early.

Would not go too early.. lots of the stalls don%26#39;t open till mid morning.

If you find something you like buy it .you might not find the shop again it is that big and confusing I was shopping on sat bought some shirts next day sunday wanted some more at the same shop

took me over2 hrs to find it again and I knew where it was.
