Eva Airlines

to Bangkok.

Anyone use Eva airlines form the USA to Bangkok.

How is their Evergreen Class service.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Have a great day.

Eva Airlines

My wife has used Eva twice and liked their flights and service. Evergreen deluxe is more for bigger, better, seating she said. She liked it.

We are both going in Jan on regular Eva economy. I decided since we are both going, I%26#39;d suffer and save the money for spending there instead.

We were looking at the direct Thai flight from JFK-BKK, but it got back late and there are no flights from JFK out to Florida. That direct 17hr flight would be REAL nice.

Hi irishaye,

I have used eva many times from the uk to bangkok, i have always thought they were fine, in flight facilities are much better than Thai airways becaust they use boeing 777%26#39;s instead of 747%26#39;s, much newer and individual interactive screens, food is passable, as on all airlines. I have an American friend that flies reguarly from San Fransisco and he swears by it.

Have a great flight.

I flew business with them from london, it was nearly half the price of Thai, food was very good, sort of flat bed, if you get a good deal it is worth booking, food was good, limited films though.

I use EVA all the time. i always go evergreen deluxe class. enough legroom so you can actually cross your legs. in the new 777%26#39;s, they call it ';Elite'; class. i can%26#39;t go economy anymore...too much like sardine class in all the airlines, and nobody else comes close to EVA%26#39;s prices for their evergreen deluxa/Elite class seats. Thai air doesnt seem to like to discount their seats.

I just returned yesterday from a LAX to BKK via Taipei trip on EVA. They nearly ruined my vacation!

Be aware to arrive plenty early, (3 hours is not too much) because they overbook EVERY flight by a ridiculous amount. Even though we were at the airport with 2 hours to spare, they took us off of the flight with about 12 other people because they said they ';gave our seat to someone else';. This after booking 7 months in advance and selecting seats at least 3 months ago! They couldn%26#39;t get us out until 20 hours later. Then they were bumping other people who had arrived for THAT flight off. Their compensation did not even cover all of the money we lost, as they messed up all of the connecting flights and tours forward that we had carefully planned. We had to wait over 2-1/2 hours in the airport that night just to get them to give us a hotel for the night in LA. They claimed that they couldn%26#39;t find one (come on -- in LA???) until we threatened to sleep on the floor right in front of their counter.

I noticed coming back, on the Taipei to LAX flight, that they had another list of 12 or 15 people that they were bumping off that flight as well. Luckily we escaped that time! I realize that all airlines do this to some degree, but I get the impression that EVA does this same thing every night, and their helpfulness just wasn%26#39;t there.

By the way, you MUST book in Evergreen if you want any kind of space. We made the mistake of going regular economy. While this was ok on BKK to Taipei flights (777s), the transpacific flights were 747s with TINY seats. The narrowest I have ever sat in.
