Construction work going on in Kata Beach??

Hi i was hoping someone could shed some light on this matter...we are planning on staying at Kata Beach Resort in late January 2007 and i have just read on the resorts website that some buidling work is currently going on (nov 06 - aug 07).

They state work on a neighbouring govt building is being carried out from 8am to 10pm every day which may cause cause unwanted noise and dust.

Does anybody know if this is occurring close to the resort/beach and how much of an impact it is in fact making????

This is close to the hotel, just opposite it actually.

The noise and pollution though are ok, it will not be too bad. But to bet your vacation on this?

i may ask my agent to investigate this with the resort directly as i have not confirmed my booking yet!
