better snorkel?...Ko chang or down south towards phuket ?

we cant decide which is the best overall snorkeling area in Thailand. We have 7 days -which can be broken up....to snorkel and enjoy the beaches of thailand. we thought about liveaboard? or maybe Ko chang?

read alot about Krabi as well?...

what is best for two young who enjoy snorkel and culture..not too much into nightclubs, crowds.....

we are going to be traveling Jan 4th till 11th..

If you want to fill a week with snorkelling then you should head to the south of Thailand, not necessarily Phuket but islands around Krabi %26amp; Trang.

You can do a good snorkelling day trip on Koh Chang and you%26#39;ll see loads of fish etc - guaranteed. But unless you have your own boat you arent going to see a huge variety of snorkelling spots.

Not a lot of culture on Koh Chang though - do temples etc in Bangkok or Chiang Mai

do you reccomend any cool boutique hotels in krabi? we are not really big resort people. we did find some on Koh chang and Ko tao...

we are definetly interested in more snorkeling and culture crowded beaches, etc.

we have jan 4th till 10th so should we do two different areas or stay in one and take trips from there?
