Haad Salat - What is the beach like?

Hi all,

Can anyone give me an idea of what the beach at Haad Salat / Salad is like?

I%26#39;m looking at staying either here or Thong Nai Pan Yai or Noi and would like to get an idea of how the beaches and availability of restaurant/bars compare.

Thong Nai Pan is, by far, the better beach.... so if the beach is the reason for staying there, Haad Salad will probably disapoint you.

We spent some time at Haad Salad last July and enjoyed it very much. It%26#39;s quiet... there are only a few options for eating... but nice and inexpensive food... no entertainment as such.... which was our reason for staying there. We hired a car and drove around... thus getting the best of both worlds. Asia bungalows are nice and excellent value if you give it a go.
