We stayed at one of the pimalai pool villas for 4 nights in november 2006 and it was simply outstanding.

Our particular villa was situated at the end of a row so we had total privacy (no tan line sun bathing) except for the monkeys that you can see within the trees. Although, the villa is surrounded by the rain forest, strangely there were no mosquitoes perhaps because the villa is higher up above the canopy.

Stunning west facing views (beautiful sunsets) from the villa

Electric golf carts to take you up %26amp; down to the resort. It is a 10 minute walk down to the beach.

Excellent room 鈥?spacious, well-decorated, high quality furnishings, fittings and appliances, very comfortable bed.

The excellent photos on web site of the pool villa don鈥檛 do it justice really.

Very efficient, discrete room service.

Ozone disinfected swimming pool (instead of nasty chlorine).

And you get to use your own private pool night time (the other pools close at seven)

Can order in-villa service where a chef comes to cook you a meal in the privacy of your villa %26amp; serve it on the terrace.

Fully equipped kitchen (coffee maker, oven etc) if you fancy cooking

Restaurants are of a very high standard:

Seven seas 鈥?modern asian-european fusion food %26amp; breath taking views of the bay

Baan Pimalai 鈥?excellent thai food (they do not tone down the chilli for the English palate)

Spice %26amp; Rice 鈥?also very good

Very professionally run and well-equipped scuba diving centre

We also had the choice of taking the cheaper superior room option, but we took a chance, went for the pool villa and loved it.

Heck it鈥檚 your honeymoon 鈥?go for it !

We will be going to Pimalai in late February. We got an unbelievable deal on a 5-night package in a Pavilion Suite at www.luxurylink.com and paid an additional THB 5000 a night to upgrade to a Pool Villa. It%26#39;s a special birthday and anniversary celebration, so what the heck! The reservation person was fantastic, you can even check availability for your intended dates before bidding on the package at Luxury Link.
