Hi

I am staying in Kata on new years eve and was wondering what, if anything might be going on. We%26#39;ve got the ';gala'; dinner at the hotel but i can%26#39;t say I find the idea of that very interesting.

Any partys or festivals etc would be cool

Which hotel?

Most of the large ones also have entertainment, perhaps show, so depending on which hotel it will either be exciting or not, if you head along to I think it%26#39;s the %26#39;Beach%26#39; or other bars running behind Club Med I am sure they will be lively. Patong would be livelier though.

We too are on the new Years eve gala dinner in Karon. My plan is to have this then get a tuk tuk of taxi over the hill to patong for the rest of the evening morning

patong is good on n/years eve --fireworks on the beach and all the locals in a great mood ,cheering the n/year in

We are staying at the Peach hill resort and spa in the new bit. I can%26#39;t imagine that they will have much on but.....

I like the sound of fireworks on the beach etc!
